Kingsburn & Earlsburn Wind Farm Community Funds

The Earlsburn Community Fund began in 2008, and was owned by Falk Renewables, which later rebranded as Renantis (in 2022) and following a merger with Ventient Energy rebranded again to become Nadara in 2024. The Nadara Earlsburn Community Fund supports charitable activity benefiting residents within the community council areas of Cambusbarron and Carron Valley in the Stirling local authority and Denny and District in the Falkirk local authority area.

It receives annual contributions from Nadara based on £35,000 (inflation-adjusted) for the wind farm's lifetime, which is expected to be 25 years.

In 2016, the ‘Earlsburn North’ wind farm opened nearby, know locally as Kingsburn wind farm.  The Kingsburn Community Fund launched soon after, benefiting residents within the same three community council areas plus three new areas:  Fintry, Gargunnock and Kippen, all within Stirling local authority.  The Kingsburn Community Fund receives annual contributions from Nadara Renewables of £112,500 (inflation-adjusted) for the wind farm's lifetime, which is expected to be 25 years.

To meet each area's needs, the Earlsburn and Kingsburn Funds are distributed via six sub-funds to enable local decision-making.  Each fund is managed differently.  To find out more, including application arrangements for each area, please follow the links below.
