Funding projects tackling alcohol related harm
An inspiring new report published by the Scotch Whisky Association highlights the impact their funding has had during the first 5 years of the Scotch Whisky Action Fund.
The Scotch Whisky Action Fund (SWAF) is a clear demonstration of the industry’s commitment to promote responsible alcohol consumption and tackle alcohol-related harm in Scotland. It is a commitment that the industry takes very seriously.
SWAF is a unique initiative. In its first five years of operation, the fund has made 50 awards totalling over £660,000, supporting more than 40 different projects across Scotland. The projects supported by the fund have worked with almost 48,000 people. It's the only fund dedicated to tackling alcohol-related harm in Scotland.
We highly recommend having a read of this report. Some of the organisations, and the communities they serve, are truly inspirational.
