Recruiting community panel members in South Lanarkshire
Do you take an interest in local community issues and activities? Are you keen to see funding make a real difference in your community?
Two Community Panels in South Lanarkshire are looking to recruit new members.
- The Coalburn, Douglas & Glespin (CDG) Community Fund Panel - You must be aged 16 or over and live within the Douglas Community Council (incorporating Glespin and Surrounding areas) or Coalburn Community Council boundaries.
- The ORIT Cumberhead Community Fund Panel - You must be aged 16 or over and live within the Lesmahagow Community Council or Coalburn Community Council boundaries.
A Community Panel is made up of people who live, work or volunteer in the named communities.
As part of a Community Panel, members make recommendations on grant awards from the fund and advise on the overall fund strategy. helping to shape the impact of the fund on the local community.
For more than 25 years, Foundation Scotland has been working to strengthen communities throughout Scotland and is here to help communities take action, create positive change and deliver lasting impact. Foundation Scotland supports panels in their activities and plays a guiding role in panel discussions.

Please note: No previous experience of being involved in a decision-making group is required, as all panel members will attend a Panel Induction Session.
