Local partnership facilitates community action in Limerigg & Slamannan
A unique opportunity to support, develop and progress community activity in Limerigg and Slamannan has arisen thanks to an innovative project involving CVS Falkirk, the EDF Renewables Burnhead Moss Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund and Foundation Scotland.
The appointment of a new local Community Development Officer by CVS Falkirk & District aims to build capacity for community action and bring some of the Limerigg & Slamannan community's development aspirations to fruition, following consultation with local community representatives. The role is being made possible thanks to funding from the nearby Burnhead Moss Wind Farm, owned by EDF Renewables, which offers an annual community benefit fund to support local initiatives in the area.

The Community Development Officer will be directly involved in supporting and encouraging community activity, community capacity building, and the formation of community groups. They will also be responsible for working with residents and groups to turn community aspirations into successfully delivered community projects, some of which may be supported by the EDF Burnhead Moss Wind Farm Fund.
