CalMac Community Fund makes 22 new awards
The CalMac Community Fund has announced 22 new awards, delivered in partnership with Foundation Scotland, in the Clyde and Hebridean network.
Projects receiving support include Tagsa Uibhist's community garden, the Western Isles Citizens Advice Service, Arran Community Land Initiative, Dunvegan & District Senior Citizens Club and the Tarbert Soup Group (pictured).

The CalMac Community Fund benefits the lives of communities by supporting non-profit groups achieve their goals. Since its launch in 2019, the CalMac Community Fund has supported 195 groups during challenging circumstances to deliver:
- Health and Wellbeing outcomes
- Social and Community outcomes including reduction of isolation and greater access to local community and social activities
- Education and Skills outcomes
- Employment and Volunteering
- Environmental outcomes including raising awareness of local environmental issues and challenges and promoting sustainable living
Projects supported by the Fund have benefitted over 11,000 people living in the Clyde and Hebridean network to date.
Cal Mac Community Fund works across six regional areas including: Lewis, Harris and Ullapool: Uist and Barra; Skye, Raasay, the Small Isles and Mallaig; Oban and the Inner Hebrides; Firth of Clyde; and Southern Hebrides.
Organisations can still apply for an award of between £500 and £2,000 - there is a slightly extended application period to reflect the festive break, and they will now close on Friday 13th January 2023 at 1700.
